“Let me assist you with the shower.” Without waiting for her to protest, Matthew carried her straight into the bathroom.
Once placed in the bathtub filled with warm water, Stella immediately reached for the edge, asserting, “Please, get out. I can manage on my own.”
Lowering his head, Matthew took care to clean her body.
His large hand moved with gentle strokes over her skin, gradually coaxing her into a state of relaxation.
The bathroom was suffused with swirling steam, enveloping everything in a dense mist. Stella’s eyelashes flickered as she drifted in a haze, feeling hands exploring her body, their touch increasingly intimate. Startled, she snapped her eyes open to meet Matthew’s gaze.
A thin veil of mist separated their eyes, yet the emotions swirling within were all too familiar to Stella.
Matthew’s gaze bore into hers as he leaned closer, his lips finding hers in a biting ki*s. Stella’s head tilted slightly, her grasp on his pajamas loosening as she yielded to his passionate advances.

Stella thought for a while. Then, she shook her head, looking dispirited. “But I had a fight with Elizabeth last time. Bella loves her so much. I don’t think Bella would want to attend my wedding. So, forget it.”
She sighed slightly.
Matthew pursed his lips. He suggested, “Just give it a try. Bella has sent you an invitation email, which only means she knows what is right and wrong. It’s okay if she rejects you. At least you give it a try.”
Stella took a deep breath. Her innate stubbornness was faintly reignited by Matthew’s encouragement.
She stood up and turned on the computer. After thinking for a while, she began typing on the keyboard. She wrote a long email inviting Bella to her wedding. She also attached a wedding photo she and Matthew had taken in the studio.
But before clicking the send button, she called Matthew over and asked him to check it for her. After he confirmed to her it was okay, she immediately sent it.
